Maybe people with small faces don’t have this problem, but E;-ex15 do. Please make sure that you are posting in the form of a question. Based on my experience the eyepiece has only one negative: Available from these sellers. I would say that I just have a regular sized nose for a 5′ fellow, but I still always leave nose marks on the viewscreen.

About removing the 2 glass pieces inside, it’s a no-brainer, just remove the 2 small retaining Philip screws, separate the pieces, remove the epex15 parts, and screw it back together. The eyepiece now has normal view finder size and nose prints are rarely seen. Well, obviously with the extension that it provides, you won’t have to press your nose on the viewscreen of course depending on how long your nose is.


The EP-EX15 does not come with a new or improved rubber eyecup. I’ve not had any issues with it becoming loose or loosing the rubber eyecup, probably because I don’t remove it with any frequency. Ultimately, I just can’t see myself really using this.

I spend significantly less time cleaning my LCD off in between shots and i do not get any visual distortion because my eye is being pushed to the side by my nose which is pressed against the LCD. This is a problem, especially while shooting with wide-angle lenses, as you won’t be able to predict the amount of barrel distortion in the final picture.
